It was supposed to have whiskey, soda water, and blackberry puree but there were literally two little arils of blackberry in his drink and not much flavor other than whiskey.

We ordered the antipasto board, which came out on a plain small dinner plate, so the presentation was a bit disappointing. Thank you for a great Meal! Great food and wine list, great service, tiny buzzing space of regulars and locals that's great for people watching. NICO’s friendly and enthusiastic staff set the bar for quality customer service. We had a reservation for 6:30, got there in time to valet park the car and were told to go back to Strega to valet park the car (Have you ever done a U-turn in Boston's crowded North End? The menu pricing on Open Table was about $10 cheaper per item than on actual menu. It hurt last night to pay $200+ and for an experience I’ll never forget but for all the wrong reasons. Our server was very attentive and the food was excellent. So small, yet Nico was louder than my son’s middle school cafeteria! However, both were very good. The Meatball and Ricotta are a favorite!

What a great dinner and service. Saturday night. Unfortunately we were seated next to the bathroom in the basement when there were other tables available and we had made a reservation, so the ambiance was not ideal. I enjoyed the fettuccine carbonara. I don’t think I have ever had better Italian food!!!! I've been to Nico's twice while visiting Boston and loved it each time. Food was great otherwise, would go back, Had an 8:15 reservation and waited until 8:45 ended up leaving for another place nearby. This place was absolutely fantastic!! Also, the pasta dish I had with the sauce and sausage had at least 5 big pieces of garlic in the dish which made it very salty and overpowering.
The meal was pricey. Reviews can only be made by diners who have eaten at this restaurant. Beer, Cocktails, Entertainment, Non-Smoking, Outdoor dining, Patio/Outdoor Dining, Private Room, Takeout, Wine. We had a reservation, but the restaurant was super backed up, so we ended up still having to wait 30 mins for our table.
I have eaten here several times and am always pleased. They clearly just overbook and expect people to wait .. The hostess was slightly rude when we got there is the only complaint. The wait staff was overwhelmed but did their best to be friendly and our food was cooked and brought to our table quickly. Although my ravioli porcini was to die for, the many chicken medallions in my wife’s fettuccine Alfredo were over cooked and hard on the edges.

It was sadly one of the most...regrettable dining decisions but at the highest cost! It was good except we had to wait for 45 mins after our reservation time to get a table and ended up sitting so close to another couple we were basically at a table for 4.
“Things just happen at Nico”, says one patron. And locally-sourced produce is ushered in through the rear entrance – in a manner not unlike many of their nightly boldfaced guests. Can a vegan person get a good meal at this restaurant? But I would definitely go again. We were looking for a place where my husband could eat a good piece of meat. We both shared the salad and enjoyed it, they nicely shared the plate for us. Very tasty. I think the pasta dishes were slightly overpriced, but my boyfriend claimed he had the “best meal of his life” so can’t go wrong with that. The pizza was crisp and enjoyable. Good food and good service by our waiter, but we were seated over an hour late to our reservation. Get quick answers from Nico staff and past visitors. Try Maria’s they are a simple place with traditional Italian food but they oner the reservations you have made .. We left Nico dumbfounded at the whole experience. Nico is always enjoyable.More.
